Dear P2 Resilience parents,


So sorry to inform you that I can not be in the hall to meet you during tomorrow's and the day after
tomorrow's PCTC. I am writing to seek your understanding about this.

I will stay in3 Wonder's classroom and meet the form class's  parents  according to the registered time
slots. The form teacher of 3W will be out for course and I will need to take her place to talk to
the parents and issue the report books during PCTC.

Please drop me an email with your questions if you find it hard for you to find time to talk to me during PCTC. I will try to call you by next week.

I will also take the opportunity to thank all parents for your support and cooperation with me.

“快乐亲子阅读”华文讲座

 

尊敬的家长/监护人:

我校向来致力于与家长们保持密切的合作关系,以促进学生的学习能力。故此,我校母语部特别安排了一场“快乐亲子阅读”讲座,希望借此活动让家长们了解亲子共读的重要性和方法。

讲座的内容包括:如何为孩子们选择适当的优质图书、现场示范亲子共读的技巧,和读后延伸活动的建议。

活动当天,我校也将安排华文图书展览,供家长们以优惠价为孩子选购优质的华文图书。

此讲座将由来自本地耕读园语文中心的梁慧瑜老师进行。梁老师是耕读园的创办人,曾获教育部奖学金,也曾任教于本地学府。梁老师积极推广儿童阅读和亲子阅读,曾受邀参与各类推广阅读的活动,其中包括国家图书馆活动、讲华语运动、亚洲少儿读物节、晚晴园活动等,也经常受邀到本地中小学府进行阅读课程和活动。

Talk on Parent-Child Reading (in Chinese)

 

Dear parent/guardian

As part of the school’s efforts in fostering collaborative partnerships with our parents, and to promote the reading of Chinese books among our students, we are delighted to share that our Mother Tongue Department will be organizing a talk on parent-child reading in Chinese.

Through this talk, we hope parents will better understand the importance of parent-child reading at home, the role it plays in building strong parent-child relationships and in developing the child’s language skills. 

The programme of the workshop includes sharing of tips on choosing the right books for your child, storytelling techniques, as well as ideas on post-reading activities.

There will also be a Chinese book fair on the day of the workshop, where you may purchase quality books for your child at discounted prices.

This workshop will be conducted by Miss Liang Huiyu from Sprout Language Centre. Miss Liang is the founder of Sprout. She was a MOE Teaching Award recipient, and a former local school teacher. She has spoken at several reading events, including at Speak Mandarin Campaign and Asian Festival of Children’s Content. She actively promotes the reading of Chinese books in local schools and among young families.

About 完成句子 in the coming written test (this Friday)

1 The format of 完成句子 is to choose the correct one from the given phrases in the box  to make a sentence correct in meaning and in grammar.

We have practiced such 完成句子 a lot in xinpengyou and practice papers. Hopefully our boys can manage  this part if they are carefully enough.
